The High Performance Compute Facility (HPF), operated by the Centre for Computational Biology (CCB) on behalf the Research Institute, offers services and compute cycles to the hospital, provincial and national bio-medical research communities. The CCBHPF offers computer cycles, application support as well as long term backed up storage.
Eligibility for an account
Accounts are available to all Canadian researchers’ labs holding a research grant (federal or non-federal). First, the Principal Investigator (PI) must apply for a personal account. Once this account is granted, the PI will be able to sponsor different account for the lab’s research associates and/or other collaborators. Each user must have their own account and shared accounts are not allowed (see user’s agreement section).
Mission and Aims
Funded by The Canadian Foundation For Innovation (CFI) and The Canadian Institute For Health Research (CIHR), The Centre For Computational Biology High Performance Facility (CCBHPF) enables cutting-edge research by providing high-performance computing access,up to date biological datasets and applications, together with a consultative expertise, to academic and private-sector researchers throughout Canada and beyond. The CCBHPF allows researchers to access the most sophisticated technologies, applications and resources to harness the power of Genomics, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics for the greatest impact on human health.
